Define a manageable programme
Start with a clear locality, purpose, responsible team and realistic capacity. Feeding, veterinary assistance, transport and adoption awareness have different resource needs. State what is active, what is being developed and what remains a future aspiration.
Do not announce emergency availability, ambulance services or shelter capacity before they exist. Volunteers and donors need honest limits as much as inspiring images.
Keep records that mean something
Assign a case or activity reference and record the date, general locality and animal identifier when known. Measurements such as food quantity and session counts should come from documentation, not visual guesses. Repeated observations are not unique-animal counts.
Retain bills, treatment information and genuine photographs where available. Connect expenditure to a specific dog only when the evidence supports that link; otherwise report it at activity level. Keep private donor information and sensitive animal locations confidential.
Separate claims from campaigns
AI-generated campaign images can explain an idea, but cannot prove a feeding drive, rescue or recovery. Clearly distinguish concept facilities from operating premises and avoid fabricated testimonials, medical records or before-and-after stories.
Publish only reviewed records and acknowledge gaps. If a measure was not recorded, say so. A quarterly report can explain challenges and next steps without filling missing results with estimates.
Make participation sustainable
Give volunteers clear responsibilities, safety guidance and a named coordination process. Donors should retain transaction references and understand that a submitted form is not a payment confirmation. Corporate partners need agreed plans and accurate reporting rather than automatic CSR claims.
Invite feedback and correct mistakes transparently. Humane, evidence-led care earns trust through reliable everyday work—not just a compelling campaign.
